White-label
production-ready foundation
for digital investment platforms

One intelligent platform for firms that manage clients' investments.

Why FinStarter

Every firm rebuilds the same layer.
You don't have to.

01

Live in months, not years

02

Start on a foundation

A production-ready core, extended and configured around how your company actually works, built and maintained with you, not handed over. It is not an end product: it is extensible, and it is developed further around your specific needs.

03

Your brand, your data, your configuration

White-label from day one. Every pixel, every workflow, every data field belongs to you.

04

A foundation, not a license

We build and maintain the platform. You keep full deployment control and own the client relationship.

05

Governance built in

Role-based access, KYC, and audit trail are not add-ons. Compliance is structural, not a layer you bolt on later.

Who it's for

The foundation is the same.
What you start with depends
on what you already have.

01

Investment managers

You already run client portfolios – on a platform that is showing its age. Modernise the client experience and portfolio operations without an in-house build, and keep your custodian and existing integrations.

Start with:
  • Client portal
  • Portfolio management
  • Model portfolio engine
02

Brokers

Your execution already works. Add a branded managed and advisory offering on top of it, and turn one-off transaction income into recurring revenue on assets.

Start with:
  • Model portfolio engine
  • Client portal
03

Fintechs and EMIs

Your engineers are busy with your core product. Embed an investment layer in your own app – onboarding, portfolios and reporting – without a year-long detour.

Start with:
  • Client portal
  • Portfolio management
04

Segregated mandate managers

Every mandate is run separately – and reported separately, often by hand. Give each mandate client a clear view of their portfolio, with a full record of every decision behind it.

Start with:
  • Portfolio management
  • Audit and event transparency
05

Private client divisions

Your private clients are served through a core system built for something else. Add a dedicated client and operational layer on top of it – without replacing the core.

Start with:
  • Client portal
  • Customer and lifecycle management
06

Financial publishers and research advisories

You have the audience and the investment views. Turning subscribers into managed clients takes onboarding, model portfolios, reporting and governance – FinStarter provides all four.

Start with:
  • Client portal
  • Model portfolio engine

Approach

Three ways to a live platform

We have developed a foundation for companies that, for various reasons, are not ready to use off-the-shelf solutions. Ready-made products are not always the right fit. They may lack the functionality you need, and customizing them can be expensive. So what should these companies do? Build from scratch? That is costly, takes a long time to develop, and creates ongoing maintenance challenges. We offer an alternative. Our foundation is not an end product. It is extensible, and it is customized and developed further around your specific needs.

OPTION ONE

Buy a ready-made platform

Fast to sign, slow to fit. You adapt your processes to the product, and the parts that don't match stay unsolved.

TIMEWeeks
COSTLow upfront, high to customize
FITWhatever the product does
OPTION TWO

Build from scratch

Full control, full cost. Up to two years of engineering, then permanent responsibility for maintenance, security, and regulatory change.

TIMEUp to 24 months
COSTHighest, and never finished
FITExact, eventually

FAQs

Questions before a demo

FinStarter is a white-label, production-ready foundation for digital investment platforms. Investment managers, brokers and fintechs start with what every firm otherwise builds from scratch - client portal with digital onboarding and KYC, portfolio and model management, analytics and reporting - and get a branded platform configured to their business in months, not years.

Compliance is built in, not bolted on: a tamper-evident audit trail with configurable retention, role-based access control and orchestrated KYC and sanctions screening give your firm the evidence regulators ask for. The regulatory obligations stay yours - FinStarter gives you the means to meet them.

FinStarter is built for firms that manage and report on portfolios for their own clients:

  • Discretionary investment managers and RIAs - modernise the client platform without a multi-year build;
  • Brokers - add a branded managed or advisory offering on top of existing execution;
  • Fintechs, digital banks and EMIs - embed an investment layer into your own product;
  • Firms running segregated mandates - give each mandate client a clear view of their portfolio;
  • Private client divisions - a dedicated client and operational layer on top of the existing core;
  • Financial publishers and research advisories - turn subscribers into managed clients.

If your firm has a direct relationship with the investors whose portfolios you run, FinStarter is designed for you.

It depends on how much you need to change.

  • FinStarter as is - about one week. We deploy the platform in your environment, apply your branding and configure the standard modules. You get a working platform you can use right away.
  • Extended to your requirements - typically 2-6 months. When you need custom functionality, specific workflows or integrations with your custodian, OMS or data providers, we agree the scope and timeline with you individually.

In both cases you start from a ready foundation rather than building from scratch - which is what usually takes firms 18-24 months.

FinStarter implementation costs depend on the solution scope and the level of customization required. An as-is implementation starts at approximately $10,000. More complex requirements, such as additional integrations or custom functionality, increase the cost.

You are not paying only for features. FinStarter comes with the controls regulators expect a firm to evidence - a tamper-evident audit trail, role-based access control and orchestrated KYC and sanctions screening - built in from day one rather than added later at extra cost.

There are no per-seat fees and no fees that grow with your assets under management. Contact our consultants for an estimate based on your specific requirements.

Wherever you need it. FinStarter is deployed in your own environment - your cloud account on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud, in the region you choose, or on your on-premises infrastructure. You do not rent space on a shared vendor platform, and your client data never sits in a multi-tenant system alongside other firms.

This keeps data residency, security policies and access under your control, which simplifies requirements such as UK GDPR, DORA and the FCA's outsourcing rules (SYSC 8).

If you prefer not to run the infrastructure yourself, we can host and operate the platform for you as a managed service in the region of your choice.

About

FinStarter is built and backed
by Itransition

Behind it stands an engineering company that has been in this market for twenty-eight years and intends to stay in it.

1998In business since
800+Organizations served
3,000+Employees
40Countries

Since 1998, Itransition has delivered software for more than 800 organizations across 40 countries, with over 3,000 employees. We work across capital markets, investment management, insurance, and payments: regulated environments where uptime, auditability, and change control are not optional.

That matters most after launch. A platform that handles client money needs someone accountable for it for as long as it runs: for the security patch, the regulatory change, the integration that breaks years from now. That is the part we do not hand over.
